Nautical terms

Don't know if you know this, but I remembered (incorrectly) a shipping acronym and have just looked it up:

'P O S H in shipping terms stands, or stood for, Port Outbound Starboard Home. It was used by passenger ship passengers to describe their cabin locations aboard ship, possibly by British passengers to book a trip to India, because the Port was the shady side on the way to India and the Starboard side was in the shade on the way back to England. Today it generally means expensive and upscale.'
