Extended project???

Just got back after half term and the college I am at says that there is 'an extended project' that we complete during the second year? :wide-eyed

Although we are just planning for it at the moment, has anyone done this for their level 3 Childcare, learning and development course and does anyone have any ideas for an extended project? :idea:
I'd like to do something that is child related but I am a wee bit lost and confused here!:dizzy:
