Unit 024 Promote child and young persons development

I have just started the level 3 diploma children and young peoples workforce. My tutor has sent me unit 024 - Promote child and young persons development and gone away for a month!

I am really confused about how to answer the questions and to what is expected of me. I have the relevant book but am not finding it much help.

Any tips of ideas would be gratefully received as I am stressing out! x

Hi, a warm welcome to silkysteps

Is the book you have one of the learner handbooks listed here?

The unit pdf, which is also known as CYP 3.2 Promote child and young persons development can be downloaded from the archived CWDC website it contains information that you'll find useful.

The search page will help find threads that have been posted - if you use words from the unit rather than numbers you'll find them with more ease.

This child development plan in one way to show how development can be assessed and supported and ensure planning is led by children's interests.

There are threads on the forum that state this is a unit that your awarding body might expect to be observed in the work place. For cyp3.2 1.2 maybe you use your knowledge of physical development, intellectual/cognitive, communication, social, emotional, behavioural and moral development to help assess development, maybe use your children's learning diaries/journals/journeys as observations on development.

I hope this helps, please post when needed & enjoy the site xx
