Review and identify the particular issues and implications of work setting for children and young people's speech language and communication?

Hi, this refers to your work setting or placement and any issues or implication it may have for children & YP's speech language and communication.

Maybe for the environment you could see if there are areas that can become too crowded, busy, quiet, too dark, light, hot, cold.

Are there places where children can come together, be alongside and parallel with each other, space and spaces that invite communication - props, resources ..

Is the ceiling high, does the room echo, suffer damp & smell musty, are finances limited or freely available for additional, specialised resources or equipment, are walls able to have display boards up, posters, information to interest children.

Are adults unable to spend as much time as they'd like with children to support their communciation, are there issues or implications with training eg. limited providers/finance, SLC awareness courses, team working, parent partnerships or finding professional support for children's slc needs.

Talkingpoint EYMP 5's adapting the environment page might be useful

I hope this helps xx
