hello there
i have just started my nvq 3 and i am stuggling on unit 3 please could u help?
the questions im stuck on r:
K3C168- why is it important to communicate clearly with children? what issues may arise, in communication, in bilingual and multilingual settings?

It is important to have clear communication with children in bilingual and multilingual settings as issues that could arise are that the children may have difficulties carrying out instructions or playing a game because they have not fully understood the language used to explain what to do, children learning more than two languages can easily get words mixed up, and they introduce some French words in to their spoken English. It is good to have a Good relationship with parents so they can help build a true picture of the child’s learning and development as children learning two or more languages at the same time sometimes show a delay in their communication, at a setting you may talk to a child in one language but it is important to recognise they are developing other languages too, all languages that are spoken should be recognized and valued at part of the children’s culture and background
