We did it!

Dear Friend
I'd like to say a big thank you for your support for our dormouse re-introduction appeal. Thanks to your generosity we are now ready to release hazel dormice into their new home in Warwickshire this Wednesday. Don't forget to follow our progress on the 20th June via Twitter and Facebook. Our Outreach Officer Emily Jones will be on site sharing photos and videos so you can see exactly what you have helped achieve.

But the story doesn’t end here, in fact it is just the beginning. We need to give these animals the best start we possibly can to ensure that they thrive and multiply. We have a small army of local volunteers who will feed the dormice daily at first while they acclimatise to their wild surroundings and then continue to monitor their progress for years to come. The woodland will also be carefully managed to make sure it remains a suitable home for the new inhabitants. All of this takes time and money so if you wish to donate further, our fund is still open and always welcoming of generous gifts!

Thank you for helping us achieve this great result.

Newsletter update:

Happy New Year! Thank you for all your support in 2012; we have made so much progress with your help, more details of these achievements which follow soon. But first, what better way to start 2013 than our very own Dormouse Officer, Ian White, appearing on Wild Britain with Ray Mears? Don't forget to tune in tonight at 8pm on ITV1, to see Ian talking to Ray about hazel dormice and the work we are doing to conserve them - all made possible with your support.
