Please help, will this do?

This is what i have written for CYP3.1-4.1, Can someone read through and see if this covers it all? I think i have would just feel better to have it confirmed! :dizzy:

4-4.1
Analyse the Importance of early Identification of speech, language and communication delays and disorders and the potential risk of late recognition.

Speech, Language and Communication Play a vital role in all of our lives.
Without being able to communicate to others, talk or understand, we could not do things like:

Communicate with family members.
Build relationships
Socialise
Educate ourself s
work

We begin our communication development skills from birth. Speech, language and communication allows us to make friendships and learn through school.

Children develop speech, language and communication skills at different rates, some quickly while others may take longer, this is because every child is different. Children that struggle usually have some kind of speech, language and communication need, this is known as SLCN for short.

Over one million children in the UK have some kind of SLCN.

good start but analyse means

Break the topic down into separate parts and examine each part
Show how the main ideas are related and why they are important

you have just begun the answer and it is purely descriptive. you need to delve much deeper and analyse the elements
i would guess another 4 or 500 words at least

I think the part of the question that says the potential risk of late recognition needs to be covered, by not identifying their is SLCN early the childs learning and development will suffer, it may affect their behaviour if they are not being understood or misinterperated, they may struggle to keep up with requests and they may not fully understand what is being asked of them in a learning environment, this will have a negative affect on their self esteem and confidence as they may feel what is the point in trying.

Hope that helps x:smile:
