looking after family's/friends children

Hello, I am a childminder and my sister would like me to childmind her 2 children while she is at work. She thinks it is unfair that I would charge her and I think she should pay me. There are bills to pay, she's taking 2 places and this is my job. I have offered a discount, no retainer, no holiday pay and I won't charge for when the oldest one is at nursery. What do you think?

Hi a warm welcome to the site. That seems very generous, if she understands that by condition of your registration you only have a specific number of spaces available to make your business financially secure ie. places for full fee payers, then maybe collecting some costs information from other local providers will help broaden the discussion?

Best wishes xx
