Knowledge point k3d212- The importance of recognising that childrens development is holistic, even though for convenience it is divided into different interconnected areas, and how this affects practice.

i found that you can cross reference this to the
technical certificate 008:D

busybee 08-13-2007 07:35 PM

Sorry if i sound thick but you have lost me, what is the technical certificate 008?

ellie88 08-13-2007 07:50 PM

the technical certificate is the assignments
005- 008 CCLD Level 3

busybee 08-13-2007 08:38 PM

no still not a clue, do u mean what i refer to as the units 301-305 being mandatory and then 4 additional optional units if so i have not completed 308 yet, if i still have not grasped what u mean dont worry, lost cause.

I think ellie means the City & Guilds certificate .. is this the qualification information ? page 5 has those two points indexed.

busybee 08-13-2007 09:00 PM

yes thanks for that having abit of a moment, although i have only ever seen the candidate pack so whether the numbering is different in a centre pack or whether it has been updated as we have never been set assignments ,mainly covered on assessor observing with college tasks. written answers to knowledge points or reflective accounts towards evidence. anyway looking at the pdf i was not being totally thick as 005 i believe is what is covered in 305. (I think)

That's the trouble when diffferent qualifications cover the same work ... if we don't all study the same ones it can make life very very complicated :D

Elinor Goldschmied was the founder of Treasure Baskets, which use a holistic approach to learning & development .. 'googling her may help find out some more things about this :cheerful:

ellie, having read the pdf that ruth put on this thread iv realised that the ccld 3 that im doing is still city and guilds but the format is different i have never seen those assignments before and am not likely too as have finished college now and left to own devices so if u have covered the knowledge points about holistic development in 008 which is in my 303 could u please give me a few pointers in right direction.
thanks
(Just seen message - thanks for that ruth il have a look!)
