Garden Plants policy ?
I've just been asked about a Garden Plants policy and wondered if anyone can help with what their policy / procedural information is ..
Many thanks xx |
We just have a list of poisonous plants. Not sure where i had it from, possibly in the back of the daycare standards from ofsted.

We also have a list of poisonous plants, we had it from environmental health, risk assessment resources. It is important to be able to identify dangerous plants. e.g one Christmas one of our Parents brought us all in a large sprig of Mistletoe which had an abundance of berries, which of course are poisonous. When we visit the school garden we risk assess before each visit as recently we found the Red and white spotty Toad Stools. We don't have an actual policy

This was a question from a Childminder so am thinking it will be a garden & perhaps local grounds that will be looked at.
Many thanks for the replies, I'll pass on the threads url xx |
