Low Tide - sand play activity

:starfish: Low tide is an opportunity to explore the shoreline and discover what the sea's washed up!

Recreate a strandline of low tide objects in your sand tray by including a selection of items alongside scoops, bags and buckets to collect them.

Seaweed, small pieces of wood, old netting, shells and pebbles, and in extension of the activity have role play figures available - seagull on amazon.co.uk and lighthouse craft activity google image search

Research the conservation issues of the beach - importance of taking our rubbish with us when we leave - Great British beach clean and staying safe in the sea on NHS.uk

Enjoy your coastline activities and have fun :cheerful:
