Professional Practice

Hey

I have just these two outcomes left for the unit to be completed. I would be really grateful if anyone can help me :)
They don't seem so difficult but minds gone blank itch scratch

Explain the importance of understanding the limits of personal competence and when to seek advice.

2. Explain own rights and expectations as a professional and how to assert them

Thank you.
Madiha.

4.2 Explain own rights and expectations as a professional and how to assert them

Hi, your rights include being treated equally and fairly, without discrimination and for your working hours and environment to be safe. You might expect that you'll be encouraged and supported to act professionally and always in the best interests of the children by safeguarding their well-being and development.

Can you ask your work placement for a copy of their employees handbook? It ought to explain everything about this xx

I would expect to be treated as a professional;
-my opinions and views taken seriously – not afraid to speak my mind
-my right to respite acknowledged and assisted – feel able to express that i'm struggling
-regular support from social services – not judged but listened to and have concerns acted upon quickly
-regular, varied, relevant and good quality training to be provided – ask ssw -for training wanted and provide feedback on training given
-to be given as much info as possible about LAC – more info requested if not adequate
