I am too posessive about my card board boxes to allow my kids to play with them - i am a mean mum ;-)
We bought dd 3 a playhouse for her 1st birthday, she played in the box all day and has never shown interest in the play house. |
LOL :D unfortunately I've lately found myself torn in two about the usual donation of boxes to my Ds .. that's what comes from working from home I guess and needing storage/packing considerations .. thankfully though Preschool experience wins through and even now we have a 'boat under the kitchen table (Don't ask !!) and an upside down one as serving as a 'shop counter !! :D

Looking up Mrs. Wishy washy's Farm story book made me think of this thread - has anyone turned a box into a washing machine for role play ?

At a holiday playscheme once we used boxes to make a kitchen complete with cooker, washing machine and dish washer children were insistent we didn't miss anything out! It got played with for the whole 6 weeks! we had to keep reinforcing it with extra cardboard and parcel tape as the kids couldn't bear for it to be thrown
