Thanks

Thanks everyone, I think 21 is excessive too. I have all 21 listed on a sheet as I have to fill in a table. The one's that I am totally clueless on are Janet Moyles, Bob Hughes and Hutt and Hutt. Anybody heard of these? Thanks for your help on the others. I will read and divulge the information on the others that you mention. I have the book "How children learn" but some of the theories are so hard to make sense of. I'm sure you know what I mean!

Also I agree better to learn a few thoroughly than skim through 21.

Hi, there's a thread and links to Bob Hughes website here:
http://www.silkysteps.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4212

Did your tutor provide the listed sheet? am wondering if you can check this is the right number of theorists to research before putting lots of work in?

xx

Thanks for the link. Yes the sheet was produced by my tutor. It is a table to fill in. I have to outline each theory and then say how we use that theory within our setting. Some of the theories seem quite indepth and it is hard to summarise in this way.

The list is Froebel, Piaget, Vygotsky, Moyles, Hutt and Hutt, Hughes, Freud, Winnicott, Erikson, Isaacs, Bowlby, Skinner, Bandura, Chomsky, Gardner, Athey, Donaldson, Bruner, Piaget and Vygotsky are listed twice under different areas of development!!!

It's keeping me extremely busy and I'm struggling...

:dizzy:Im doing my NVQ LEVEL 3 and so far i have only been asked to research 4 theorists.21 seems a lot.

Gawd... Why am I doing CCLD 303 as an optional unit??? I find the info on this site very helpful I have to say.. but why oh WHY doesn't whoever sets these questions take a look at the Plain English Campaign? <blank look>
