Why do I need to give my parents email address?
Are you aged 13 or under ?
If yes .. everyone under the age of 13 has to ask their parents / guardians for permission to join a public forum - this is because of the COPPA laws - Children's Online Privacy & Protection act.

If you're not 13 .. was it possible you entered todays date in the first registration boxes ? |

| These boxes are for your DATE OF BIRTH .. if you accidently wrote in todays date .. the year would then indicate you are under 13 ... and that is why the Parent's email address is then asked for. |

Please don't be concerned though - email us silky@silkysteps.com and let us know what has happened.
We can't manually alter sign up details without adding to the confusion so the easiest option is to delete a new membership and let you register again. |
