Every Child Matters is the government agenda which focuses on bringing together services to support children and families.

What does 'Be Healthy' mean?
This means that children and young people:

Are physically healthy
Are mentally and emotionally healthy
Are sexually healthy
Adopt healthy lifestyles
Choose not to take illegal drugs

What does Stay Safe' mean?
This means that children and young people will:

Be safe from maltreatment, neglect, violence and sexual exploitation
Be safe from accidental injury and death
Be safe from crime and anti social behaviour in and out of school
Be safe from bullying and discrimination
Have security, stability and are cared for
