Recipe and Method

You will need

1 small plastic cup and spoon per child
A serving (or take home) plate each with a name label.

This mixture is enough for 4 children.

 6ozs Flour
1Tbsp Baking Powder – If plain flour is used
 1 Tbsp  sugar
 Pinch of salt
 1/2 pint semi skimmed milk
 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
 Lemon juice

Caster sugar to turn pancake out onto.
Oil to cook, Frying pan & cooker!

METHOD

Mix the milk & oil together in a jug.
Pour this into the children’s 4 individual cups.
In a separate bowl combine the flour, salt & sugar - include the baking powder if Plain flour has been used .
Allow the children to scoop up 2 large desert spoonfuls of flour into their cup & mix to a thickish consistency.
Stir all the ingredients together to form a pancake batter

Once done pass over to be cooked.
Heat some oil in a frying pan and pour in the children's batter.
Spread around and use a spatula or slice to prevent the pancake from sticking.
Brown on one side ~ squirt with a little lemon juice & turn the pancake over.

Turn out onto some sprinkled sugar & drizzle with syrup – chocolate sauce or other !
Roll up & serve with cream or leave plain.

Please remember to avoid burns by cooking  the pancakes away from the children
