Video boxes... recycle them!

VIDEO BOXES... recycle them for Preschool?



If you're updating your video collection to DVDs or just replacing the odd one as it wears out?
Don't throw out the box with your cassette…..the dumps don’t need even more plastic in them and we have some fantastic ideas on how you can reuse them!

  In the classroom
    1. Separate all your small collage items – glitter pouches, beads, feathers, matchsticks,
    2. Glue spreaders storage
    3. Small paintbrush holder
    4. Wet wipes holder – saves them drying up! (may need talking out of the original bag)
    5. Soap & cloth holder
    6. Small world play items
    7. Use as trays to sort and count. 
    8. Paint in primary colors and use in your planning.
    9. Use them to store different resources from silkysteps! Eg – items made from Errol Eagles role play sets.
    10. Pencil, pen, crayon holder
  Pass them to a creative child, teenager, adult who can decorate them with stickers, paints etc. and then turn them into…
    1. Jewellery boxes
    2. Secret keepsake box
    3. Collector game cards box
    4. Store small
   Use them for the children when visiting friends & family
    1. Transport carrier for small cars
    2. Pencil & paper carry case!

  Around the house
    1. Photograph storage boxes
    2. Labels/stickers storage boxes (jam, spice jars, )
    3. Broken glasses and fixing kits!
    4. Plasters and antiseptic wipes!
    5. Store knitting accessories in them!
   In the garden
    1. Seed holders
    2. Small wire ties, clips, pegs etc.
    3. Wild bird food and peanut stores.
  In the office
    1. Shopping receipts holder
    2. Credit/store cards
    3. Keys & padlock storage.
    4. Label holders
    5. Envelopes and stamps
    6. Small fixtures – drawing pins/thumb tacks, sticky tack, double sided sticky pads, sticky tape
    7. Ink pens, ink & cartridges
    8. Use them to store old printer cartridges before recycling.
