Numberlines and Circle Cones
Using Numberlines as visual guides can help build counting and recognition skills.
This activity idea can use rules and lines of measurement to achieve a crafted outcome ..
It can also be used as a freeflow activity by providing circular objects to use as outline templates that the Children and Adults can draw around to obtain a Circle / circular shape - look at diameter and measuring to achieve big and small circles / cones.

Tools - You will need
For mark making - line drawing and mathmatical considerations include tools and equipment that can help the children achieve their own ideas & concepts.
Child friendly Compass - variety of rulers, number guides / lines
Scissors, Crayons and Pencils
Sticky tape

How to find a circle's centre
Finding the centre of any circle can be done by folding it into half - quater and noting / marking where the tip has formed.

| This process/procedure can be performed on any circular item that folds - Cut freehand, by template - tracing - or by formal measurement and compass / tool use. |

Open the Cone Circle out and cut from the outer edge into the middle / mark you made.
Fold the circle curving an edge underneath the other ..
When the severity / steepness of your cone shape has been reached use sticky tape to secure it in place. |
