Fingerpaint Paste recipe
Cornflour paste

You Will Need

|
A Perspex sheet - Safety mirror or Painting window
Collage and scenery pieces to build texture - optional
Finger Paste Recipe:
4 Heaped desert spoon of cornflour to every
1 pint of water.

Poster or tempera paint to colour
Access to a heat ring / cooker + Saucepan

Measure 1 pint of water and pour 3/4 of it into a saucepan
Measure each spoonful of cornflour and place into the remaining water - stir thoroughly
Pour into the saucepan
Over a medium heat cook until the cornflour mix begins to thicken
Once it becomes smooth, and has a thickened, transparent consistency remove from the heat.
Continue stirring - the paste retains its heat for a considerable time.
Leave to cool. |

RECIPE COOKING PROCESS

Once cooled divide into bowls and add a small spoonful of poster - tempera paint to the paste.
Mix until evenly coloured.

Quantity will depend on the number of Children taking part - 1 pint to one colour would be good for a group activity.
Store in an airtight container and shake / stir well before next use. |
