Alternatively - print and display them on a stall with the tools necessary for the Children to cut and colour their own mice  - allow a choice of fillings for each one !

You will need

Card
Colouring pens
Staples/glue
Scissors
Colour coordinating wool - tail
Black thread - whiskers
Sweets or gifts
To make
  • Photocopy the head and body templates onto card & cut out.
  • Decorate/ colour with your choice of medium.
  • CANDY MOUSE HEAD ~ fold back the side flaps and glue/staple them together to form a cup/cone shape.
  • Whiskers - Cut 3 lengths of black thread and tie off in the middle. Glue the knot beneath the black nose.
  • Glue the lower point of the mouse nose to the body.
  • Tail - Plait or cut a length of wool in the same color as you decorated the body. Staple or tape to the back of the body.
  • Punch out the hole in the back of the head if you want to hang the mouse up for show. Use a reinforcing ring to strengthen the cut out area. Tie a length of ribbon through the hole and tie off.
  • Fill the cone with candy sweets – pre-wrapped in clear food wrap so that the sweets stay clean!
OTHER IDEAS
  • Adapt the mouse decoration to suit the theme you are doing – cover in hearts for Valentines Day and fill with red foil covered chocolates.
  • For a birthday gift fill with balloons, candy and whistle blowers. Decorate with curling ribbons and sequins.
  • Christmas gift for your pet cat – fill with a catnip mouse and cat treats! Alternatively put mouse/hamster/gerbil treats inside and decorate with paper holly and berries.
  • Make up several templates and sell at your local fair/fundraising event.
