Print out this sheet ofCOINS Cut out and if possible laminate, cut out again.
Hide the coins in your sand tray Mix them in with a selection of pasta tubes - If you can spray paint a few pasta tubes gold and silver before hand - it will add to the 'treasure' effect!
Have strings/shoe laces available for the children to thread the pasta onto - create necklaces, bracelets, snakes etc !! Coin treasure hunt game :- you could perhaps hide a number of coins around your room/home and then at snack time let the children exchange their coin for something a little bit special ... maybe a shamrock biscuit or small prize! Alternatively - don't glue a back and front coin together but number the plain side ... you could then make your own number / lotto & matching games with them.
