Instructions for Assembly
2D role play characters and props
You will need
Medium A4 card
Laminator or sticky back plastic
Sticky tape, scissors, Sticky tac
|
|
Print and cut out all the sheets included.
Glue the characters and basket back to back.
Laminate or sticky back plastic. Cut out again.
Fold up the bed head and foot board and create a permanent crease with a rolling pin or similar.
|
|
For the house
|
|
Fold 2 sheets of medium weight card in half and trim off the fold (this will leave enough gap to laminate 2 pieces together and still receive the ‘seal’)
Cut windows in two pieces of the card (the house sides ) see Diag. 1
On the house front cut a ‘back to front number 7’! This will form the door. Trim this cut back a little so that laminating will seal the edges. Cut one window to the side of the door.
Laminate or sticky back plastic and cut out.
Glue the flower window boxes beneath the now ‘glazed’ windows! Add Grandma’s house sign.
Cut up the number ‘7’ and bend the door back. Use a rolling pin or similar to create a firm crease.
Assemble the house pieces together as in Diag. 1 use sticky tape to join them together.

|
Storage folder
|
|
Laminate the front cover (as supplied) and one other A4 piece of card.
Sticky tape the two short and bottom sides of papers together.
Leave one long edge open to store all the role play pieces in.
An additional piece of paper could be glued to the top edge to form a flap and velcro/’hook and eye’ used to fasten flap down onto the front. This will save pieces falling out!

Role Play ...
Stand alone or sand/soil tray
|
For the woods, use artificial foliage or if possible real pruned branches (aromatic plants would be great for the senses!) or make trees from paper.(laminate if possible)
Use small pieces of gravel or small pebbles to create the path.
Use a small piece of sticky tac on the back of the basket so that Little Red Riding Hood can carry it!
