Playdough Chicks

A variation on our cute brown playdough Bird Nests
This activity concentrates on cutting different mediums of collage type materials, 
so that the children & adults can recreate all the parts meed to make a chick.

ACTIVITY
Explore the body parts that make up a Chick.
Which part are the children most familiar with? 

Head
Beak
Eyes
Body
Wings
Legs or Talons
INSTRUCTIONS 

       Display and talk about the papers & foils, fabrics, foam & plastics that you have collected as materials to make your chicks.
       Cut wings, beaks and talons if wanted.  
       Make the basic Chick head and body by rolling 2 balls of dough.
       Join the two together.
       Push the cut out features into place on the chick.
       The Chicks eyes can be made with a pencil tip or modelling tool.
