INSTRUCTIONS

This simple pattern requires the basic back stitch method.
It is an easy and quick project if you have access to a sewing machine.

 You will Need
Printout of the frog body and eye circle
Green fabric for the top of the body
Yellow fabric for the underbelly.
Plastic beanie pellets OR rice/ lentils.
A Funnel to pour the filling into the frog.
White & black felt fabric OR plastic wobbly eyes.
Red permanent marker.
Thread & scissors,

 Cut out the pattern template
Cut one body piece from green fabric and one from yellow.
Lay the two pieces together – right sides facing inwards.
Sew all around the outer edges.
Leave the lower edge free ……..
Turn the whole frog right side out – push the seams into place so that the frog takes shape.
Place a funnel into the opening and carefully pour in the pellets/rice or lentils.
Carefully sew the gap closed. Use small tight stitches to make sure the filling cannot leak out.
Make the eyes in a variety of ways ~  Cut out 2 white felt circles and 2 smaller black felt circles. Glue together to form 2 eyes – sew or glue into place.
    1. Use a black permanent marker and draw two eyes on the top of the green body.
    2. Cut 2 green circles using the eye template.
Use running stitch around the outer edge of each circle.
Pull up the thread and carefully put in some cotton wool for stuffing.
Pull up thread tightly and sew off securely.
Use the cross marks on the template as a guide to where to sew the bottom of the eye balls.
Colour with a pen or use felt eyes as above and attach to the ball.
Sew to the top of the green fabric of the frogs body.
